A lot of users don’t know how to run Motocross Madness 2 on Windows 7/8/8.1. It’s really simple, just follow these few steps:
- Install the game
- Download and paste d3drm.dll into MCM2 directory
Default x86 system folder
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Default x64 system folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\ - Set the compatibility mode to XP SP 3 and check ‘Run as Administrator » for MCM2.exe like this:
- Now you have to enable hardware rendering in Windows Registry. For an x64 Windows version you should go to this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\DriverInfo\{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}\DisabledHardware
- Edit the DisabledHardware registry key and set it to 0 then save and exit registry.
If you have 2Gbs RAM or less, go directly to step 10 - Download free version of EasyBCD from NeoSmart Technologies and install it on your computer.
- Create a new entry to the boot menu with EasyBCD and limit the amount of available RAM to 2048Mb like in the folowing screenshots:
- Save EasyBCD Settings and Exit.
- Reboot your computer in « 2Gb RAM Limited mode ».
- Play MCM2! (select Hardware Rendering when asked)
